My name is Peter, and photography is my passion. There is nothing more rewarding for me than capturing a compelling image and rendering it so that it captivates and moves its viewers. It's amazing that it took walking away from a 21-year career in the computer industry before I finally gave myself permission to do it professionally. Better late than never. We all make mistakes.

I got my first serious camera when I was about 15, though I'd been around them all my life. My father was a journalist, so I was no stranger to the craft or those who practiced it. Among his collection was a well-used, war-weary Asahi Pentax Spotmatic, which he let me use as soon as he could be sure I wouldn't break it, though it's a wonder that it worked at all, given how banged up it was. I've been looking at the world through a lens ever since.

I've had the privilege of traveling the world and capturing countless photographs of breathtaking scapes, wildlife, nature and people, on land and underwater.
